Description Position
Summary:
The job of the Financial Analyst provides support to the finance department with specific responsibility for the processing, recording, updating and reconciling of company information in compliance with established policies; provides instructions, support to other personnel; and analyzing expenditures against budget.
Essential Functions:
Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable for multiple branches involving in-house scanning of checks as well as the application of electronic payments from various client sourced sites.
Responsible for updating various financial spreadsheets and Journal entries as required Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
Data retrieval in numerous software systems to support weekly collections and reconciliation Research, communicate and/or reconcile quantity and payment discrepancies, and maintain all backup data for future billing purposes.
Performs various analysis on Actual to Budget comparisons Establish customers and jobs in Viewpoint and/or TCR as well as entering and updating customer price lists in TCR Data entry and applications of customer credits Perform TCR uploads to Viewpoint/Vista Performs additional AD HOC analysis / duties as needed Completes assigned tasks timely and accurately Answer telephone; redirect calls and conveys messages Position Requirements Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Teamwork - the ability to help others throughout the company, as well as our customers is vital Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, scanner and copier.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and
Experience:
